This is an exciting new product from the Seals-It and Fast Axle development team. It represents the culmination of two years of R&D activity aimed at the need to develop a mechanism that will compensate for the rotation and alignment change that occurs every time a spring is compressed.

The new Coil Spring Compensator does both in a highly efficient consistent manner. Historically, suspension springs served their purpose and other than testing compression rates, tensions, recovery rates, etc. their function was taken for granted.

In recent years, it has been recognized that spring function has a great deal of influence over the racecars handling due to the rotation and alignment changes that occur during compression and rebound. As the spring is compressed it has a natural need to "wind" that is restricted by the traditional "fixed" base the spring sits on. This friction causes binding problems that also effect shock absorber performance.

The Seals-It Coil Spring Compensator rides on a cushion of ball bearings that rotate with the springs natural "winding", virtually eliminating the springs misalignment issues. This dramatically reduces the bending load that is absorbed by the shock absorber and allows the spring to function without restriction.

The rubber sleeve that extends above the base provides protection for the shocks threads and serves as a seal against dirt reaching the ball bearing assembly form the inside and an additional rubber seal prevents dirt from reaching the bearing assembly from the outside.

This product was tested by Fast Axle in different applications for a whole season and you can contact us if you have any questions. Fast Axle is now taking orders on these pieces.
